Preschool week of 5/14/12

Monday is our last day of Happily Ever After. Now, that school is coming to a close we are wrapping up the reading unit. The rest of the time we will be working on the basics with the students.

Pre-kindergarten: Parents, please start working with your child at home on how to tie shoes. Also, please work on a phone number you would like your child to know along with their address. If you bring in a piece of paper with a phone number and address, then I can work with your child so they know the information.

Preschool: Parents, please keep asking/telling your child when their birth-date is and keep working on basic skills such as letters and their sounds, shapes, colors, and numbers.

First Grade week of 5/14/12

Return all library books by Friday.

Concepts: Working on top, middle, and bottom. 


Tuesday, January 31
Lesson 7 of The Elves and the Shoemaker. Activity pages 5-6.
Concepts: Identifying colors red, blue, yellow, green. Making a circle. Holding and using a crayon. Continuing with top, middle, and bottom. 


Wednesday, February 1
Early dismissal @ 1:15
Please continue working with recognizing the colors red, blue, yellow, and green, drawing circles, holding a crayon, and top, middle, and bottom. 


Thursday, February 2
Lesson 8 of The Elves and the Shoemaker. Activity pages 7-8.
Concepts: Compare and contrast pictures. Hold and use scissors. Making a circle with a crayon. Understand parts of a whole (example: a shoelace is a part of the whole shoe.)
